Robert Pattinson has lost a “huge chunk” of his life since becoming famous.

The British actor, 22, became a household name playing vampire Edward Cullen in the recent Twilight movie; a role he’ll reprise alongside costars Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart in sequel New Moon later this year.

He can soon be starring as Spanish painter Salvador Dali in the upcoming indie drama Little Ashes.

But despite being one of Hollywood’s most most in-demand young actors, Pattinson feels his fledgling star status is causing him to miss out on some of his favorite pastimes.

He says, I used to love playing live at open mics at bars. You could go nuts and be completely free.

“It would be a cathartic experience for me.

“I’ve lost a huge chunk of my life.”
