They call her Alice Cullen NOW. But would you believe Ashley Greene almost had a different Twilight fate? She could’ve hooked up with her onscreen bro!
“I originally went in [auditioned] for Bella and they gave me the part of Alice,” she told the French Twilight fansite Impossible Fascination. “I love the character, I got really lucky. I think she’s so lovable and she’s so cool. I get to see the future.”
That’s one perk, we guess. But what about being Edward’s sister?
“Oh, you know I am ‘Team Jacob’ when they were still deciding on whether to keep Taylor or not, but Edward is my brother,” she said. “I adore them both, so I believe that I will am Switzerland.”
Nice way to dodge that one, Ashley! LOLZ!!!

Ashley Greene just gave an exclusive interview to French Twilight fansite, Impossible Fascination, and dished from everything about Twilight, Alice Cullen and even her new flick Warrior. Check out what the 22-year-old actress had to say:
On her character, Alice Cullen: “I love Alice. I originally went in [auditioned] for Bella and they gave me the part of Alice. I love the character, I got really lucky. I think she’s so lovable and she’s so cool. I get to see the future and she’s cute, she’s happy. I think that everyone kind of likes Alice so I am extremely happy that I got the part.”
On if she’s Team Jacob or Team Edward: “Oh, you know I am ‘Team Jacob’ when they were still deciding on whether to keep Taylor or not, but Edward is my brother. I adore them both, so I believe that I will am Switzerland.”
On her favorite scene in Twilight: “The one scene that was rough to shoot was the baseball scene because we were outside and it was freezing. It took a while to shoot but when it came out, I think it’s my favorite scene.”
On a character she’d love to play: “I wanna do everything, I really do. I really want to do a period piece and since I’ve dipped my toes into it in Twilight, I’d really like to do an action film. I think that’d be fun. There’s not a lot of films where you get to be a action hero, so that would be a good one.”

So tell me – New Moon, have they shown you the script yet?
Ashley Greene: “I just read the script actually.”
Did you really?
Ashley Greene: “It’s completely top secret and if anyone gets it, I’m dead. My name’s plastered all over it so they would know. But it’s really good.”
Did you have to sign confidentiality agreements?
Ashley Greene: “They didn’t go that far. I think they know I don’t want anyone to read it. I want everyone to be surprised, but it’s really good.”
You read the book, right?
Ashley Greene: “Oh yeah.”
So, how close – without giving anything away?
Ashley Greene: “It’s very close. They keep it very close. There’s a couple of things they change which I think made it more interesting. But yeah, they kept all the key elements in there. ”
Did they expand on the Cullens’ role a little?
Ashley Greene: “You’ll have to watch and see.”
They had to have. You guys are so popular, they had to put you in there more.
Ashley Greene: “I think it’s safe to say that they’re going to make everyone happy.”
That’s very cagey.
Ashley Greene: “Yes.”
So in March?
Ashley Greene: “Well the DVD comes out March 21st, which I think everyone’s excited about. 2 disc, lots of behind the scenes, and they kind of tell how everything happened. Like you basically see how we filmed the movie. But yeah, and then March I believe 23rd – somewhere around there – two weeks before, two weeks after, we start in Vancouver. And then we go to Italy which I’m… They finally confirmed it. I kept calling and asking, ‘Are we filming in Italy?’ and they didn’t confirm it. You can’t fake Italy. It’s one place you can’t fake.”

Kellan Lutz cuddles up to Ashley Greene at the premiere of Push at the Mann Village Theater on Thursday night (January 29) in Westwood, Calif.
Ashley, 22, rocked it out in Alice & Trixie’s Riley dress and “Samoa” patent leather Jimmy Choo sandals.The duo, who are currently working on Warrior, weighed in on Dakota Fanning becoming Jane in New Moon. Ashley shared, “Hopefully she will be involved in the second one. I think she’s an amazing little actress.”
Kellan added, “I hope she does [New Moon], she’s a brilliant actress.”
